Development of Thermo-Fluidic Systems

Fluid-thermal systems are those where a fluid (in gas or liquid form) play an important role in their operation.   

We can find examples of fluid-thermal systems in heating, cooling and air conditioning systems, agrifood product driers, convectionovens and hydraulic systems. These, in turn, may be included in household appliances, automobiles, vending machines and industrial refrigeration equipment. 

cemitec ´s actions are focused on products, processes and installations. They are carried out using the latest generation of computational tools and following a Development Methodology that results in more efficient designs:

  • New product design

  • Process design

  • Evaluation of existing design improvements for optimization or redesign


Design Methodology includes the following phases:

  1. Initial specifications and client requirements

  2. Fluid characterization

  3. A detailed system-level fluid-thermal study

  4. Experimental analysis

  5. The formulation of recommendations for improving efficiency / optimization

  6. Demostration of the effectiveness of these reommendations through computational models

  7. Verification of the designs at the client´s facilities

  8. Technology trasfer to the client, involving everything that has been developed
