ES Testing

Compliance with European Directive 2006/95/CE, related to Electrical Safety, is mandatory for all electrical materials that are to be used within certain voltage limits (above 50V AC and 75V DC) and mardeted within the European Union. Te aim of this Directive is to prevent the use of this material from jeopardizing the safety of people, domestic animals or property.

Electrical material is understood to mean anything used for the production, trasformation, trasport, distribution or use of electrical energy. Some examples of electrical material are: machines, transformes, devices, measurement instruments, protective devices, wiring material, etc.

CEMITEC provides advisement and conducts tests for manufacturers and distributors of electrical materials in order for them to meet the stipulations of this Directive. This prevents hazards such as electrical shock, short-circuits or malfunctions that may result from using this material.

TESTS
Electrical hazards Dielectric strength, insulation resistance, leakage current, protective earth and accessibility to dangerous energies or voltages.
Thermal hazards Heating under normal conditions and under fault conditions.
